Digital SAT Format (2025)

The SAT is now administered digitally, featuring an adaptive testing model that adjusts question difficulty based on student responses. Key details include:

  • Duration: 2 hours and 14 minutes
  • Sections:
    • Reading & Writing: 64 minutes (2 modules)
    • Math: 70 minutes (2 modules)
  • Total Questions: 98
  • Scoring: Each section is scored on a scale of 200–800, with a total score range of 400–1600.
  • Test Delivery: Students can use their own devices (laptops or tablets) equipped with the College Board's Bluebook app. Devices can also be borrowed upon request.
